31Knots is an American experimental rock/post rock band from Portland, Oregon that formed in 2001. The four-piece group immediately became locally renowned for their intense live show, comprising sharp, angular noise-rock and art-rock mixed with electronic elements. Their albums feature the distinct blend of angular guitars, khaki-drenched keyboards and sometimes drums and trumpet, but also abrasive hip-hop samples and effects-laden joy rides.
