Eels is an American rock band formed in California in 1995, and fronted by singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mark Oliver Everett. Throughout their career, they have released ten studio albums that have achieved considerable commercial and critical success, blending elements of rock, folk, and blues into their music. They are known for their cleverly constructed and often deeply insightful lyrics, as well as their melodic, infectious, and often unpredictable compositions.
